Lamella Structure
2D Machining is dedicated to the study of different rationalization building techniques used to fabricate complex geometries from planar elements through easy cut and assembly operations.
The project aims to understand the
application of planar hexagonal-dominant surfaces throught computational strategies.
Different aproaches will be applied to a parabolic ring cyclide as the main geometry for comparison.
Several techniques of meshing and
planarization will be explored and analized in
order to define advantages, disadvantages and
the correct solution for the problem of panarity. The methodology used to achive the best
result will establish as guidelines for future.
