The project consisted in the fabrication of a recipient with subtractive techniques at a pro workshop.

Simplicity

 

Stick to the use of just one tooltip. 

Create an elegant (compact) and good (fast) machining operation. Think more on the design of the algorithm than on the design of the final shape.

Reverse engineer

A controlled output is producing a target specific visual effect, such as the illusion of an image by the control casting of shadows or caustics.

Matter-Machine

 

Create designs that integrates efficiently the machine possibilites.

The toolpath is the synthesis of an elaborate back and forth process of design, that ultimately is performed by machine. 

 

The final project done in a piece of PTFE (Teflon) with the help of Rhino CAM (an special plug in) in order to milled in a CNC machine.
